In other news, I just cashed out on an actual investment I made actual money with. My best friend builds custom motorcycles. So that he can build more of them, I give him money up front, he builds it, sells it and then gives me my principal plus 25% of the profit back.
He just built a bike for $7000, which I paid $3500 into. He sold it for $15,000, so I made $2000 on a six month investment of $3500.
Now there is something worth bragging about. New steel roof, here I come!
