They've surely got 4G WiMAX though. That's what I use around here. Not as good as LTE, but much much better than 3G. Sprint's 3G is really pretty lame.
Sprint LTE and Verizon LTE are close enough to be competitive, depending on the market. A lot of the problem with Sprint is that people are still testing verizon LTE against sprint WiMAX, and they aren't even close to the same thing. That said, Verizon does have the fastest network hands down. Problem is they think they are allowed to give you a complete gastric flossing with hundred dollar bills as a consequence.
To a lot of people though, its worth the extra money to save those extra seconds of wait time.
