i get that free expression is a western, and even more so an American, cultural ideal. That's fine. I'm comfortable with other countries punishing free speech when it violates their own cultural norms. I get it--it's just a very different perspective.
But when you start killing people and destroying property over speech, especially people and property only tacitly related to the speaker, that's crossing a line. Clearly still a lot of growing up to do in these nations and in Islam in general.
