Take The Black? Not my favorite from them. Still, everything out of Ommegang is good. I have a bunch of their stuff aging in my wine room. Hopefully I can stay away from them for a couple years.

yeah that's the one. never had it before, so i'm looking forward to trying it as right now i know of very few stouts i consider worth drinking.

I wish I knew what breweries you guys get in New York. Stouts are probably my favorite style of beer. I have my own RIS on nitro and someone else's on CO2 on tap at home. Hoppin' Frog from Ohio sells some quality stouts (D.O.R.I.S. and B.O.R.I.S.), Old Rasputin from North Coast seems to be all over the country, Oskar Blues TEN FIDY makes it most places and Brooklyn Brewery's chocolate is pretty decent. Rogue's stouts are good. You probably get most of those.
