Paternity is a completely irrelevant concept. It's only purpose is to establish how property is handled in a patriarchal social system.
Since people are no longer considered the property of their father or husband that concept is an irrelevancy.
People, both men and women, should be perfectly free to do what ever they wish with their bodies. No one should be forced into indentured servitude because a child is born. It's just completely unnecessary.
