so if the catholic church just wants crates of food to reach the people that need it hard enough, it will happen? they'll just get through the jungle, avoid the war lords, not get taken by corrupt government officials, and they won't be stopped by radical jihadists?

Yes, because the UN has never engaged in armed humanitarian missions because the lives of millions are at stake.

Solving these problems is impossible. We can airlift enough food into Berlin to feed millions, while surrounded by the largest and most powerful opponent ever faced, but OMG, African warlords!

Oh yes, I am definitely advocating giving the money to African warlords and government troops. The manpower could never come from the Western world. This is impossible.
