I am advocating that the hunger issue become a priority, which means a multi-year and likely multi-decade approach that involves military action, diplomatic pressure and economic incentives.

What you guys are doing is pretty clear - I made a pretty good case for why food should be a priority, and stomped the living hell out of Comrade's ridiculous objections to people being put before stained glass windows and paintings. So rather than just admit I have a point, you are just posting stupid photos and videos in an attempt to save face, while assuming every negative thing you can about what I propose.

But if it does, you get non-starving productive citizens to exploit, at no cost to yourself, with a very real PR victory for your government."

so anyways, now you're advocating that the catholic church...what, sanction military action in a decades long war in the most impoverished and war-torn regions of the world?

The whole "just send crates of food over" is a terrible idea as well. What happens to the local rice farmers when the Catholic church ships over thousands of tons of free rice? A lot of foreign food aid can wreck local economies that are primarily based around agriculture.
