I loved the barrel scene, laughed like crazy.
Overall, I really enjoyed the addition of the two kickass wood elves to the story. Thought it was an interesting change that Tauriel was the hero in the dwarf elf romance. Also Legolas is serious hawt, same with the elf king. sweet joy!

Only thing I didn't like so much about the movie and book was Smaug. Egotistical talking dragons taking revenge on human community.
probably meant to be the embodiment and result of greed though, just ya know the story.

i question the taste of people who judge children's book adaptations on david lynch criteria.

I enoyed the first one, it was fun and light. Haven't seen the second one yet. I can guarantee the CGI thing will bug me, as will drawn out action sequences. But I bet I'll still enjoy it, as most do when they aren't expecting some sort of meaningful epic.

Robocop- 5/10

Pros:
-tries to be different
-more emphasis on Murphy and his family
-Michael K Williams

Cons:
-weaksauce bad guys
-awesome humor of the 87 version is gone
-predictable
