I'm finding it hard to believe a person (let alone a prominent political figure) could be so petty as to actually do something like this, especially when there was no way he was going to lose the governor race because of this mayors endorsement or no. Can I believe his senior staffers expressed glee amongst themselves at the at the inconvenience being caused to their political opponents, oh hell yeah, but to actually do this no way.

Can I see a bunch of Democratic political operatives sitting in rooms 24/7 trying to dig shit up that can be spun to discredit a potential Republican frontrunner, yeah.

Do I believe this really happened like it's being implied, no, but the seed of doubt is now planted anyway.

I doubt if Christie would ever get the GOP nomination... 1- because of the current state of the GOP itself, there's no way the TP and far right wing of the GOP would endorse Christie.. and 2- just because of the type of politician he is/was I'm sure he's got quite a few skeletons in his closet that the Dems would love to use as soon as he threw his hat in the ring.

Christie had about a 1000 point lead in the polls before last years election. But for some reason, the people around( no evidence Christie himself had anything to do with this yet) figured they had to punish the 1 person in NJ who endorsed Buono?

Where do these type of people come from? Reading these emails where they were making fun of and smiling about the misery they created reminded me a little of hearing those tapes after Enron collapsed where the Enron traders were laughing and making fun of the misery they created about grandma freezing and not be able to afford to heat her house..
