And to clarify, here is my main issue. Gun nuts act obtuse and ignore reality by pretending there isn't a trade off. They go again all common sense and empiracle evidence to insist guns have nothing to do with the disturbing number of people killed.
If you love your guns don't be a bitch about it. If you think it's tradition or a right, fine. But let's have an honest conversation where we recognize those rights and traditions have a cost in terms of human life. Some rights are worth it. I wouldn't see it as a problem if the first amendment costs thousands of lives, because the right to speech is that important.
But second amendment proponents are fundamentally dishonest. Their right costs thousands of lives, but when it's framed that way it sounds like an aburd right that's not worth the benefits. So you lie. Each and every ducking one of you lie and evade reality, and pretend there isn't any trade off. You look up down and around like you are deaf whenever someone points out the obvious correlation between access to firearms and firearm deaths.
It's sick and it makes you all look stupid.
