Not so much trickle down, more like trickle up.
Interesting graph near the bottom of the article which shows that the share of national income going to the top 1% has as much as tripled compared to 1980. Meanwhile, the rest of us are faced with a future where we will be worse off than our parents.

i want to be mad at those statistics but it's kind of like pointing out the sky is blue at this point. it's such an entrenched part of our society it's not really shocking any longer.

the one consolation i have is that, like every period of human history where this happens, the rich will eventually have their blood running in the streets.
