Is nationalism really something worth supporting? Not in my estimation. I'd rather see Palestinians immigrate somewhere that a person can live in a reasonable manner than deal with that mess.

Palestinians are some of the poorest people in the world. Solving that would probably go a long way. Why don't we have an international coalition offer anyone who has a right of return claim a few hundred thousand dollars to give up their claim? I bet the vast majority would take it and go live a better life somewhere else. The few who refuse would be negligible enough that you could just give them some land without disturbing Israel too much.

Perhaps the concept of Israel as a nation should be re-examined if it is going to become a lighting rod and proxy for anti-semitism.

Ugh Stephen Harper. One of the most distrusted and disliked Prime Ministers in Canadian history. This comes as no surprise. The entire speech was an emotional appeal with virtually no relevance to anything anyone has posted ever.
