Basic income is just another prescription or band-aid for the real issue: the current economic system disproportionally and staggeringly concentrates wealth into the hands of a few for an amount of contribution that is far overpriced. The entire system needs to be remodeled; if there's a rot, you pull out the floorboard. You don't paint it over.
There should be no public protection of corporations through limited liability. Have the 'private sector' insure these beasts. The costs for large corporations compared to cooperatives would be astronomical. Good, let the corporate model crash and burn.
