I've never thought Fallon was funny. The only funny stuff he's done was actually done by other people and minor characters on his show.

I have tried to watch late night variety shows. I like the idea of late night variety shows. Some music, some stand-up, some comedy sketches, some interesting interviews.
Unfortunately they just fall flat pretty often.
