I get series passes occasionally from Amazon when it's something I really want to see right away and not available from any other outlet, but I really haven't had much need. Hulu pretty much allows me to keep current with new shows, that or the web (I have a small media PC hooked up to my TV as well). There is so much older/slightly older content available on Netflix and Amazon that I will never run out of good stuff to watch. It's been about 2 months now since I dropped Dish, I miss it a lot, lot less than I thought I might.
As far as TV series, Sherlock on PBS (for the current season) rest are on Neflix/Amazon, has easily moved into my top 10, maybe even top 5 TV series ever.
