OGPCF: The Oral History

I think it might be good for posterity if everybody would post any memories they recall from OGPCF like how they started as members and any major events, as well as other posters that they knew; this way people can refer to this stuff if they need to. What do you guys think?

Here's something that happened at OGPFC/PP: Spider said it would be impossible for Obama to get re-elected if he supported gay marriage and told me I was being childish for even suggesting he should embrace equality. Tragic Kingdom as well said it was childish and an unelectable position.

Looks like I win.

I'm a bit busy this morning but I'll be back later to recount more times when I was right and others here were wrong.

LOL well thats a start

Here's another from PP: I was debating with franz as to whether we should intervene during the Syrian civil war thread and then I interjected a post right after his two page rant that said basically why does America have to be the one to foot the bill and all that in which I got praise from eric and Sazari (my debate allies in the thread). The next day I got a PM from Snake saying I should lie low for awhile because franz was in the mod room screaming bloody murder and wanted to suspend me. Ultimately Snake talked him out of it.

Another memory was with franz and his haven and hearth game, he started promoting it in PP and even stickied a thread to make sure everybody join him in creating an internet village. Sazari joined in along with me, Spider, Emerald and a few others. I got bored with it after playing for about an hour and quit. Soon it became a catastrophe when Sazari almost singlehandedly destroyed franz's village by using deception and deceit. That was just so funny.

PP for some reason had a lot of that shit with mods banning people for disagreeing in legitimate debates. Glad that came to an end.

Probably my favorite PP moment was the 00timh thread "great concert" where he posted a shitty webcam video of a sugarland concert he went to and the first 30 replies were all people just posting the " " smiley.
