don't hear this stuff at all
Putin is "the most interesting man in the world", an image everyone in the western world knows is fake. but he is assertive and has made a fool of obama on a few occasions (has syria turned over all its checmical weapons yet? or have we forgotten about them), and is not made a fool. so yeah, maybe some conservatives like assertiveness leaders. also, while he is an autocrat, putin did preside over huge amounts of growth (which is why he is as popular as he is in russia). sadly for him, he's going to also proside over times of hardhsip as the growth was just because of energy prices and with the US taking the lead in energy production now russia will be hurting since it's next best industry is matryoshka dolls. but that doesn't mean that conservatives care for the soviet union or whatever they are calling it these days, or the leader in charge of it
