That works really well with comcast. Every once in a while call them up and threaten to go to dish...half the time you can get a free upgrade, or get your bill cut in half for 6 months or whatever.

Verizon fights it a little harder, but if you can talk to someone with the power to make a decision they usually help you out.

Yeah....Verizon wasn't flexible with me at all when I was at the store in person. They don't need to be. It sucks.

I'm going to go down to a Sprint store and an ATT store to check out my options.

They told me the same shit. I didn't give up, I complained via email and I got the discount. They called me about a week later and said they would do it.

Let your subscription run out, you can go month to month, they won't turn it off as long you keep paying the bill. You got think about it as a matter of principle. Screw those guys you need your phone at a decent price.

I will admit they resisted like a f**k, though.

I literally complained via email that the salesperson refused to negotiate and wouldn't connect me to someone who would. That got me talking to someone who could negotiate.

I'm already on a monthly plan. They told me even if they wanted to "the system" wouldn't allow them. We'll see how much they care when I receive the new iPhone in the mail on Friday from Sprint and call to cancel my service.

You aren't talking to someone who can make a decision if they said the system won't allow it. But I'm sure you aren't the only one doing this so they probably will care when their market share drops.
