I finished a year of university and then never went back, having realized that my program would be completely useless when it came to finding a job. I am grateful for that decision every day. Even my parents, initially pretty skeptical of my thinking, now agree it was a good decision.

Still, post-secondary education should be provided with tax payer dollars. What do you think about that jimmyz?

remember when we told everyone to be a lawyer and then there were so many lawyers that the unemployment rate of people with law degrees shot up?

this is why steering people in to STEM and STEM only is a perpetually stupid idea and will always remain one.

If I did college again or was recommending a major to someone I would recommend computer science. If you can code you will find a job and a good paying one at that.

yup. my friend did comp sci at SUNY IT, interned with a defense contractor, and graduated with a 60k a year job in upstate new york. he's pretty much going to do amazing for the rest of his life.
