FYI the key to contesting tickets is to change the court date. Cops are dickheads and usually line up all their contested tickets on the same day. If you move the court date, then they have to show up just for you and most never bother.

f**k ME! it happened again today.
me: I think you should take this plea, because based on the evidence I'm showing you right now you'll go to prison for 20 years if we go to trial.
him: this is such short notice!
me: I told you this months ago.
him: you aren't even fighting for me!
me: I got your other felony dismissed on a suppression motion and got you a no prison offer on this case.
him: you don't even have time for me!
me: because I've spent the last six weeks in trial, a first degree assault and a murder.
him: I'm gonna fire you. and get a real lawyer.
