the point is that when the Europeans got here up to 95% of the population of the continent had been eradicated already, so yes, they were exploring the ruins. The reforestation that occurred in the wake this devastation is thought to have caused the little ice age. Scientific evidence backs this theory up. I think you could say there is no doubt.

The ensuing mess was caused by him trying to deny the relevance of the science cited in the article. The population of Cahokia was something I cited as an example of how big the population of North America in general was before this devastating plague that killed most of the population. You guys keep ignoring that point and arguing straw men and irrelevancies.

The thing to take away from that is if this is the environmental impact of what you guys say is a primitive "native" culture, then what is the true environmental impact of our own modern industrial culture?
