i think they are gonna have to start combing everybody and that question wasn't seriously looked into before. it went from search and recovery of an accident to finding out about a crime. sure we knew about some fake passports... but those could have been just people smuggling and not related

and the daily mail (so i dunno how true that is) is claiming the pilot went to the trial that day

and then, that night, he took flight 370 on a diversion, theory being it was a political protest. which says nothing about where the plane is

Just throwing in another crazy conspiracy theory: the range indicates it could have gone into central asia or the indian ocean. if it went south maybe there was a pirate air refueling tanker that provided it more fuel to travel further to some far-off base for some unknown purpose.

It also could have been ditched in the ocean, and the VIP they wanted to capture offloaded onto a waiting boat before sealing the hatches and sending the plane to the bottom, perhaps with all wrong place at the wrong time passengers still in the cabin.

It could also have found a crack in the space time continuum and has landed in Beijing in an alternate 2014.

Chances are likely the guy just snapped and ditched into the ocean. If they would have landed somewhere surely it would be detectable. You can't land a big plane like that just anywhere.
