The thing that we need to keep in mind is that homosexuals face regular, systematic violence and discrimination. Sure, it's annoying that everything needs to be about who they f**k, but from their perspective, all the shit they face is about that too.

We are talking about a group that is hated more than Jews. That they are so vigilant and overbearing is a result of what we have put them through. So keep the pride coming... I'm not sick of it just yet.

What other groups had to wage a decade-long campaign to get married? Or to adopt kids? Or to even get health benefits?To even serve their country in the military?

What other group is still, to this very day, having to fight to get service at a public business?

What other youth group is four times more likely to kill themselves than their peers? What other group is three times more likely to face a violent hate crime, rather than just some mean words? 75% of all reported hate crimes against homosexuals are violent. Only 25% are violent when directed against race or religion. If you want to talk the justice system, why do 70% of LGBT men report being raped or sexually assaulted in prison? Why are LGBT people convicted and punished far more frequently, even when accounting for evidence...

A gay, lesbian or bisexual adolescent is punished more severely at school and by the criminal-justice system compared to heterosexual people of the same age for the same offenses, researchers from Yale University report in the medical journal Pediatrics. The authors say the disproportionate punishments cannot be explained by worse illegal activities or behaviors. They add that in order to achieve equality among heterosexual and non-heterosexual youth, it is important first to understand what causes these disparities in school expulsions, arrests, imprisonments, and then to address them.

They found that non-heterosexual individuals had a significantly and consistently higher risk of being punished. Teenagers who are attracted to people of the same sex were found to have a 41% higher risk of being expelled from school, and a 42% greater chance of being convicted for a crime as an adult, compared to heterosexual individuals.

Of course there is systematic discrimination. Denying that is absurd, plain and simple, and reminds me of the people who say that blacks ought to just "get over it," since obviously all systematic discrimination stopped in the 60s.
