Why does everyone need to know what your school or job is? And what exactly is "political" about a pride march?

i don't see how the answer to any of that is relevant. however gays and the catholic church are as oil and water so of course it's political

What remains is people having too short an attention span about the transgressions of their own affiliation, to understand that they don't actually have preferences that need to be respected. Straight people don't need to march in pride parades. There is no point to that (unless they are making a point of being allies) other than to be immature.
