It just doesn't add up. 250 reps in 45 minutes is less than 11 seconds per rep, and that doesn't include time that needs to be spent setting up the weights, getting water, catching your breath, or waiting for someone to get off your next station.
Doing 50 reps of every exercise with the same weight makes absolutely no sense. To be able to do 50 reps, the first 30+ would need to be effortless because lifting becomes exponentially more difficult as muscles tire (as anyone who has done pyramid lifting knows). I cannot even begin to imagine how terrible one's form would need to be in order to speed through so many reps; it's a recipe for serious injury.
