I don't know why every country needs to have a western liberal republic. A territory controlled by tribes and clans is a better form of government for peasants and sheepherders.The Afghanis are not ready for democracy.

Well people need to understand that guys like OBL and Atta had plenty of exposure to, and lived in, democracies.

Not necessarily their birth countries, but they spent plenty of time in westernized democratic countries, for school or whatever. So you're right the idea that democracy = antidote for terror, fails.

Hell Egypt elected the Islamic Brotherhood after ousting their dictator.

And one of the most raging spots for anti-western jihad (not sure if it's still true) earned London the nickname "Londonistan."
