Satori by Don Winslow- a professional fan fiction prequel to Trevanian's Shibumi, nowhere near as good as the original author's work but its fun to see Nicholai Hel back in action.
On Killing by Dave Grossman, very good but repetitive book about the psychology of killing in war.
