Jon Stewart on Cliven Bundy

John--- I know... I didn't say his defying court orders, etc. was because of Obama, or started because of Obama.. And he's been violating Nevada state orders and laws for 20 years too..

BUT Just MY opinion, I think him no longer recognizing the 'existence' of the Federal government started around Jan. 2008..

well whatever, then nothing will change your mind. i don't like this guy, but i don't think it has specifically to do with obama. and there's nothing to actually prove your point. if bush was still president the same thing would play out, he'd say the same garbage, only hannity wouldn't defend him.

I'm just focusing on Bundy's use of the word 'existence'.. And him riding around holding an American flag.

I can break all the Fed laws I want while still admitting the existence of the Fed government. But once I deny the Fed gov't even exist, IMO, there's something else going on.. And in this case I think Bundy doesn't want to admit the DC's existence while there's a black guy in the WH..

After reading his recent comments, I might be pretty close.

Anyway again, just my opinion and just what ran through my little brain when I 1st saw Bundy make that comment on Stewart's show.

yeah it's brietbart, but whatever, this actually outlines the history of the case (and thinks that bundy is entirely wrong, and that places like infowars are delusional and spreading misinformation) http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government ... undy-Ranch it seems to me he's been having these views for some time. i'm looking for the actual quote of his. i wonder if it is in context as that... i know for sure he doens't think the federal government has rights to nevada land, he claims it's the soviegen state of nevadas, ignoring us treaties with mexico and ignoring the nevada's consitiution then maybe he has an argument, but i dunno about it as a thing at all

do they have the context? they all just state the sentence, and then some witty remark by the author of the news piece. i can't find the whole context (e.g., the interview where he said this)

there is a significant difference between "the federal government doesn't exist here" and "the federal government doesn't exist anywhere" and i can't tell which he means by the statement because there is no context, just smugness. i mean, he's wrong either way, but one is not completely stupid and insane

In the video clip he says this:

That seems pretty clear cut to me... He's talking about his beliefs NOW..

Anyway the interview by Bundy that the NY Times reported on yesterday is something different, those comments are from the past Saturday in a news conference. I don't think he mentioned him not recognizing the US government in Saturday's news conference.
