One thing I've thought of that I haven't seen here is what are they doing with Shae's and Twyin's relationship? Plenty of time in the past four episodes to put in some scenes to show that they come together and Tywin starts f*cking her to put another knife in his son's back, which of course leads to him and her getting killed by Tyrion during his escape. Are they going to simply have her character show up unannounced like "Oh, look they've been together since she was told by Tyrion to leave" which is bullshit since no scenes have been shown to set that up, or the more likely scenario, they completely change that part and Tyrion simply kills just Tywin, who will have no relationship with Shae, for staging a faux trial and trying to have Tyrion killed. Judging by the changes this seasons, the latter is very likely and will probably happen next f*cking episode. It also seems like Tyrion being put on trial will be the changing point for Jaime's feelings on Cersei. Even though that was a part of the reason he changed on her in the books, her being a despicable person overall is what drove him to change as he was becoming a more honorable man and she was a horrid, horrid person that he realized was a loose end that would hold him back from reclaiming his honor. Don't even get me started on the Bran Stark shit. I watch the show on the reg with a friend who has not read the books and had a out loud "dafuq?" moment when I saw him get captured by the mutineers. How are they beyond the wall? Didn't they start their travels from Winterfell? How the f*ck did they get to Craster's place? For as great a show as this is, that is sloppy f*cking writing that viewers that haven't read the books may not catch.
Deviation I am fine with. Books don't translate 1:1 with other medium types, so I am all for it, but have those changes make sense. So far, some of them have, but most of them haven't. The scenes with Theon are fine. He's not mentioned much in the books after he is flayed, so it's a good way to interject original storyline material with him as Reek. The rape scene was stupid. Why deviate that much when you already had Jaime going through a perfectly fine storyline of reclamation? At least they didn't shit over his relationship with Brienne I guess. I hope they intend to show more of Littlefinger this season. 2 short scenes is not enough given his importance to pretty much everything that has gone down in King's Landing and between the Starks and Lannisters at this point.
