I think Mad Men is the best show ever created in terms of capturing the "human condition" of a particular demographic. In this case it is american upper middle class/ wealthy office worker.

You're just out of college right? I watched the sopranos for the first time near the end of my senior year in college and had an assessment similar to yours. Give it a few years and rewatch though. I think the show becomes much more relatable after a few years in the "real world". A sad commentary since I also think it's the most depressing show ever.
