This episode came close to pissing me off. But...redeemed itself.

I dig it. I like the portrayal of Lysa.

it was a decent episode. as expected locke met his end. as unexpected, hodor. hodor hodor

the whole capturing dire wolves for no reason was weird. well the whole stuff not in the book was weird of course, but they cleaned it all up now. well, there was that giant spoiler of last week that won't ever be cleaned up but that's okay



apparently they are stretching this thing out as long as book 3 can take them. stannis in bravvos next week? i really don't care as it's not that big of a deal (it's just a different way to introduce bravvos than through everyone's favorite serial killer) and in some respects makes sense as to why they are so keen on funding his claim.... other than he must have invented diesel engines to get his ships to and fro to get to the pink floyd show on time

I'm kind of surprised how little emphasis they put on Lysa's reveal that she's the one who poisoned Jon Arryn, and that she did so at Littlefinger's behest. I think if I didn't already know that her revelation may have slipped past me last night.

I guess in a sense it's a lot like how Joffreys the one who tried to have Bran killed rather than Tyrion (which the show cut out entirely). Baelish and Lysa killed Jon Arryn, not the Lannisters. Interesting to know but doesn't really change anything at this point since House Stark is thoroughly dismantled.

For me though, the reveal was major in that it reshape my perception of just how major a ruthless power player Baelish is. Though that's probably in part because in the books this revelation comes during the same scene as when Baelish murders Lysa.

Well, shit. I was planning to post about what a joke and waste of screen time it was to have this bizarre sexual tension with a eunuch and a female character who was supposed to be his sister but damn, even having read the books I was not ready for that last scene. I think even with all the other shot we've seen, this is easily the most gruesome thing on the show to date. I mean I knew the mountain was going to cave oberyn's head in but he squeezes it til it explodes. Insane.
