I guess the question is whether the benefits of government outweighs the negatives. It's pretty bad on the negative side, but there are some extreme positives too. On balance I think I prefer society with government.

You're the statist. You want to impose your philosophical beliefs on everyone else by requiring them to obey laws they don't agree with.
I think it is my right to have a child and treat it like a sex slave. Your personal morality is irrelevant, and how I raise my kid is my business.
Another example: just the other day I was dumping some leftover chemicals into a river that runs through my property. In fact, it starts on my property. I'm sure you'd forbid me to do that, statist.
