If you are worried about the percentage of increase of your salary compared to others, you're already culturally dead as an employee, and mostly a leech instead of a contributor to an efficient organization.
If the company hasn't instilled confidence in you with regards to where you are headed in terms of title and compensation, and thereby made you confident and centered as an employee, the company has issues, you have issues, and no good will come of it. Employees who are looking around to see what others are paid, have already had a series of destructive experiences, and are either no their way out, or aren't competent enough to find themselves work for a healthier organization.
