Come on, Eynon. Don't dismiss communism/socialism. It's given us the USSR, which was a resounding success. And Cuba, which is a modern example of what can be done with sound American products (circa-1950) and modern cheap Chinese products. Of course, we can't forget North Korea, that shining beacon that all other countries strive to emulate.
