And its easy to play armchair quarterback, judge, and jury since the reality shows have programmed us into experts.
The way I see it, the dog took off, mom checks on kid, then runs to the house to grab a phone so she can call 911 and tend to her son at the same time, while help is on the way.
She needn't worry about the dog coming back. She has a bad-ass cat in her driveway.
