Just a clarification - saw the couple on TV yesterday. According to them, there are 2 options for the dog:

1) The owners and dog can undergo a rigorous monitor/training schedule and attempt to keep the dog. They didn't say what was involved, but they said that it was unlikely this option would work.
2) After 10 days, the dog would be euthanized.

I think the dog is still alive, as of now.

I do have a question for people here though. I think this will determine who stays on my "like" list forever, and who gets put on my "shit" list.

Assume you were the child's parent. The dog's owners come to you and are apologetic. They are willing to put the dog down. They offer to pay for the child's medical bills. They offer to pay for a vacation to Disney World for the kid and you, or pay for some other method for the child to recover from the mental trauma (reasonable cost, say up to $5000). In other words, they regret the incident, and they are making every reasonable effort to make things right.

Do you sue them for medical bills, mental trauma, pain/suffering, etc.?

Lol the shooting thing made me think of this. This dude on the train recently got into it with another guy and they started yelling and then one just started saying "pop pop pop" over and over (imitating guns). White people scattered like roaches when the lights go on
