....you like anime right? So things are slow at work and I found out about this:

they just started it on Adult Swim. Anime cliches aside it has the most nightmarish monsters I've ever heard of.

giants.
and they eat people.
who looking like deformed humans.
and they all have "joker grins".
and are naked.
and they eat people (often alive) even though they don't need to.
and don't have digestive tracts.
and so they have to puke up giant balls of decaying human bits.
and they're stupid hard to kill.
and they really, really like to eat people.

nightmare fuel.

it's a good one. has really intense edge-of-your-seat fight scenes too later in the series. most likely going to be a second season as well (whenever enough of the manga is finished to warrant it)

not sure what your preference is, but i watched it subbed. i've heard the dubbed version has laugh out loud bad dialogue.

they use cannons but they're really ineffective.

recommendation time: if you want an anime that's f**k brutal and unforgiving try out blue gender

premise: gigantic mutated insects take over the planet. the majority of humanity has moved to an orbiting space base. they fight them with large robots. carnage ensues, people die. it's a blast.
