Seriously though, don't waste your time arguing. These guys haven't seen a soccer game since 2010, they are clueless. Klinsmann was over the moon about the win and quite pleased, but as a coach of course he is going to say there could have been improvement. When a guy like the dude, who is pretty smart, is taking a coaches words out of context last night you know there is truly no hope for them to sort it out. As an American, I'm proud of the way our team played.

England aren't out just yet, Uruguay tomorrow. Suarez is rumoured to start.

That being said England didn't have the worst of games against Italy and Uruguay did lose to Costa Rica so here's hoping.

Most media reports reckon Rooney will play as number 10 with sterling on the wing. Hopefully his pace will cause their poor defence problems.

Suarez won't be at full fitness levels, I feel he'll be more Cahill and jagielka's problem than Johnson's.

So, got a question, soccer/football/futball guys.

Is it illegal to hold the ball and run downfield? Not with your hands, of course. But, let's say that the goalie grabs the ball, and places it between your thighs, which you use to squeeze and hold the ball. You won't be able to run fast, obviously, but you will be able waddle down the field. And, it'll be very hard for an opponent to kick the ball free without kicking you by accident.

Or, alternatively, it's legal to use your chest to touch the ball, right? What if 2 teammates squeezed the ball between their chests and ran down the field together. No one is going to be able to kick it very easily that way.
