fomerly known as Colonia Dignidad and was known to have sheltered Mengele after the war. Later they were associated with the Pinochet regime. Who knows who else could of passed through here? This place still exists under a new name. Pretty interesting subject matter, if you are a WWII buff like I know you are.

The interesting thing is that a place like this could really only exist because of people sympathetic to nazism in some right wing regime, many of which were quite extreme.

Another example of a famous nazi who escaped punishment was Otto Skorzeny who was hidden in Egypt by a former nazi general who was working with the CIA. The Egyptians were interested in using former nazi officers to train their officer cadres.

The world is a big place, and we we don't have it all figured out yet. A lot of history is just bunk.

I don't think he did, or the soviets would have had his body. they conducted an intense investigation and effort to locate the remains

All we have is eyewitness testimony, and that is as true of the official explanation as the various alternative theories. It is probably safer to say "I don't know what happened to Hitler" than it is to say "Hitler died in a bunker, or lived in the Andean foothills, or made his way to Brazil, etc."
