Check this place out Mr Bill:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villa_Bavierafomerly known as Colonia Dignidad and was known to have sheltered Mengele after the war. Later they were associated with the Pinochet regime. Who knows who else could of passed through here? This place still exists under a new name. Pretty interesting subject matter, if you are a WWII buff like I know you are.
The interesting thing is that a place like this could really only exist because of people sympathetic to nazism in some right wing regime, many of which were quite extreme.
Another example of a famous nazi who escaped punishment was Otto Skorzeny who was hidden in Egypt by a former nazi general who was working with the CIA. The Egyptians were interested in using former nazi officers to train their officer cadres.
The world is a big place, and we we don't have it all figured out yet. A lot of history is just bunk.
