I'm not mad, and I'm not especially fond of Tebow, I just think he got a raw deal.

I just wondered, since I've been reading that there's a lot of speculation still over Manning's arm strength.

I don't deny that he's a great QB, but I wonder if he's still got what it takes to play like he used to. I'm basically just thinking aloud.

Tebow did get a raw deal. Elway is a putz, but we've known this for a long time. He did get my out of high-school the day after they won the superbowl in 98 and 99, so I can forgive him.


Even with Manning they should have kept Tebow on the roster. That said I watched this kid play at Arizona State and he has potential: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brock_Osweiler

How exactly did Tebow get a raw deal. He was elevated to a much higher status than he ever should have been for a while, now he's back where he belongs, sitting on a bench until it's time to run a wildcat. Just because he was fortunate enough to be a starter when he shouldn't have been doesn't mean he was entitled to maintain that status going forward.

My idea of getting a raw deal is Kevin Kolb in Philadelphia. Wait patiently on the bench for years with the promise of beng made a starter and then when it's finally your turn, get usurped immediately by a guy who is only on the team because he just got out of jail and Andy Reid wanted to give him a second chance. That's rough.

Tebow did not get a raw deal. If you were the GM of the Broncos you would have done the same thing. Take a proven winner or the guy who won a few games for you last year because of some lucky plays, and the defense. The main reason Tebow won so many games last year was because of Denver's defensive play. That being said, there's definitely more interesting things happening in the NFL than Tebow's "raw deal." Try this on for size, the replacement refs this year have been about the same as the union refs as far as the number of flags (the number of player safety calls, and pass interference calls are almost identical).

Yeah, all those injuries should make a difference.. But so far, the Giants are going through Carlina like a warm knife through butter.
