So a 4 day All Star break Then the Mets( who are in 3rd place BTW, while those evils Phillies are in last) go on a 10 game road trip, mostly on the West Coast.. Staying up to 1am for an old fart like me is tough..

So WTF am I suppose to do? There's shit on TV.. These f'ing reality shows are beyond ridiculous. . These morons putting their pitiful lives on TV for a few bucks makes me want to vomit..

My prediction for the next 10 games: Phillies sweep the Braves in Atlanta, then drop 7 straight games at home against the Giants and D-Backs.

Over the last few years the Mets have actually played decent in the 1st half of the year, but then they have completely fallen apart after the All-Star break. That's got a lot of talk in the media over the past few days here: They went 8-2 on their last home stand before the break, moved up to 3rd place, beat the 1st place Braves 3 out of 4.. Will they piss that away by doing their usual after the all-star break swoon?

10 game road trip to the West Coast? I'm saying yep, they will piss it away.. They'll go 3-7 or 2-8 on this trip and be right back in the cellar by the time they get back to NY.. I think 2 years ago they went 1-9 on a road trip after the break..

The ray of hope that they won't piss it away is 3 games in San Diego, and the Padres offense has been historically bad this year. And 4 games in Milwaukee, and the Brewers have lost 11 out of 12.. The Mets starting pitching has been very good, so maybe they get 5 games and go 5-5..

Yeah the mets are finished. They need to be like 20 games above 500 at the break to contend


One thing I've been considering is that the phillies have been better on the road than at home, so the fact that we won't have homefield advantage in the World Series is actually possible a good thing.
