Hamas does indeed do this... and Israel certainly takes the bait.
Frankly I am so sick of both sides of this I'm done listening to either of them. Regardless of which side they'll both tell you they're the real victims in all this and then point out the atrocities of the other.
And like with any FUBAR Mideast situation, you've got both sides being manipulated and exploited--the Palestinians by of course the entire Arab or Muslim world and Israel by us (although Israel seems to basically do whatever it wants now since it appears to be politically damaging to not support Israel unconditionally here).

Israel is not being manipulated by us. They're being manipulated by the right wingers in their own domestic political scene, as are we.
