had 3000 been in a barn when they died i think the response would have been a bit more subdued. the loss of life was compounded by 1. we all saw it happen, not just the aftermath, we were all sitting there watching one burn and then a plane hit the other, and then we watched them fall 2. it happened in nyc and 3. it resulted in billions in damage
