I understand perfectly well that your navel-gazing is entirely focused on the US, the only culture you have ever experienced or are personally familiar with. Strange how these inherent animal instincts are sometimes flipped into socially constructed and imposed false consciousness depending on what idiocy you are arguing today, and are unique to "western" culture.
It's absolutely debatable that post-industrial "western" culture is an all-consuming leviathan devouring the world, just not in your eyes because the idea that humanity is a destructive virus is an item of faith to your misanthropic world view.
Accepting reality, shitty as it is, is hard I know, but most people grow out of wishful thinking unrealistic utopias by the time they leave puberty, something you've obviously skipped because it makes you think you're some sort of rebel speaking truth to power. i wouldn't call climate change due to industrial activity a superficial theory. I wouldn't call the results of financializing and monetizing bad debt to the extent that it crashes the global economy a superficial theory. these effects didn't just occur randomly they are the result of certain behaviors, which in turn are the product of certain prevalent attitudes.

It's clear that there are some non-superficial issues with the way we produce, allocate, and distribute resources. These issues will affect society, so why not talk about possible alternatives?

And the only cultures focusing so extensively on the consequences of resource depletion and trying to replace them with sustainable, environmentally friendly techs are ...? Let me give you a hint: it's the ones that have already gone through their industrialization and have passed through to a post-industrial stage where the population have enough material comforts that they can afford to care about these big abstract concepts. Good luck convincing China and India and Brazil and Russia and all the other developping countries that burning fossil fuels, clear cutting forests for arable land and flooding natural environments with toxins is a bad thing. The populations don't give a shit because they have more important issues to worry about, and I can't blame them frankly. That's the problem when you start thinking your f**k country is the center of the godamn universe and nothing happens or exists unless it be by your lordly leave, your supposedly universal concepts and conclusions end up being completely erroneous.

Painting Putin led Russia as a poor wittle victim of "western" aggression, of all things. Yeah, it was totally "western" aggression that prompted Putin to launch a nonstop, ongoing state controlled propaganda machine about ukrainian nazis wielding sticks coming to genocide the poor opressed russian minority, and he was just forced to intervene to defend his race. Russia had nothing to gain from it at all. That Russia has more self-avowed neo-nazi groups and individuals than every other country combined is completely irrelevant.

After all, it is well known that russians are the least nationalistic, racist and warmongering people that have ever existed, they would never stand in the way of an ethnic minority trying to break away and gain independence from their own federation, for example, right?
