Pretty good. Have had the ale and the porter. Both good and the guys who own are pretty cool guys, former commercial fishermen.

I think McMenamins by downtown has slipped. The one over on Monroe is still pretty good though.

I've been to the Troutdale McMenamins and it's alright, but the next time I'm in Oregon I won't be leaving Rogue. They are, without a doubt, my favorite American brewery; better than Russian River IMHO.

Do all your ales in the US come in bottle, or do you have cask ale over there? If so, how is it served?

Local place I mentioned has cask ales. The Aboriginale I mentioned, for example. And yes, its served in an imperial pint glass at somewhere just below room temperature, if that's what you're asking.

This is not a common thing, however. There is no great tradition of warm beer in this country.

I've been in the basement over there, and its pretty much like this, with regard to the aging casks:

Actually, we prefer our cask ale rather cooler than that over here these days. Cellar temperature, it's normally called.

What I was asking when I asked how it's served was is it pumped with a hand pump and if so, is it top or bottom dispensed?
