Another thing I don't like about the iPhone is its construction. I don't want a "single unit" construction. When I drop my S5, it flies apart. The back panel comes off, and the battery pops out.
Why is this important? Because the battery has the most mass of any part of the phone. When the battery stays in the phone, that mass transfers its energy to the floor, through whatever is touching the floor. In many cases, it's the glass, and you get a broken phone.
But, when the battery pops out, that mass is removed from the phone, and the energy is not transferred through the glass.
I also like having a 2nd battery that I keep charged all the time. When I go on vacation, or a business trip, or am going to be using my phone all day long and don't want to be a "wall sitter", I carry that battery. When the first one runs dry, I swap them out.
Another thing that I dislike about the iPhone is when I misplace my charger (or leave it somewhere), I just go grab the one from my bluetooth speakers, my Google TV thing (whatever it's called), or any of the other 6 items in my house that use a micro USB charger. If I misplace my iPhone charger (kids' iPad), my kids are SOL until we find it again. Why can't Apple use a charger that everyone else uses?
