I can't believe I'm saying this but the NFC East now looks like a competitive division.
Eagles and Cowboys tied for first at 4-1 and Giants are 3-2. Next week the Cowboys play the Seahawks in Seattle which I can hopefully count on as a loss, meanwhile, Giants play Eagles in Philadelphia. Assuming the Seahawks beat the Cowboys, then the Eagles can either regain lone possession of first by beating the Giants, or fall into a threeway tie where the Giants, Eagles and Cowboys are all 3-2, though I believe the Giants would technically be on top if they beat the Eagles because that would make them 2-0 in the division.
Most people assumed that this division was going to be served on a silver platter for the Eagles and their mission would be to show they're one of the more competitive teams of the conference, but even with a 4-1 record, we've got no breathing room. Funny thing is that most people I know have said that the Redskins or Giants have an outside chance of giving the Eagles a run for their money, but no one even considered the Cowboys a contender.
