Beyond having to choose a program from a list of coloured boxes versus a list of text, what exactly is the functionality loss of Metro? You still have the task bar, which shows open and active programs. You still have a centralized menu from which to access your programs, the big difference being a lack of an icon to click on the taskbar, having been replaced by pressing the Windows key, which by the way is faster and easier.
The truth is, like all people who spazzed about Metro, is that you don't like how it looks. So you've invented a whole slew of bullshit about how much different Windows 7 and 8 are. Actually, you know what, that isn't accurate - you've presented exactly TWO differences, one that is silly and based entirely upon your aesthetic preferences, and the other which doesn't f**k matter to the consumer.
