day z is some werid shit, in this fablous way. Best described as 28 days later mutliplayer. Just had a game where, after rather skillfully finding an axe and then rather unskillfully getting myself bit at a power transformer station, I once again find myself feeling through this time eastern european wood. As I emerge from it, what do i see coming over the horizon. A bus. It stops about 100 meters from me and about 9 guys pile out and form a perminter. 'Don't shoot' 'I've only got an axe' and 'i'm coming out' shouts I. No response, f**k it I think why not and from the shurbry I emerge. Everyone then proceeds to train their guns on me. I attempt to asertain if anyone speaks english, no reply by voice or text. After a completely silent surreal standoff between 9 heavily armed people and myself, everyone piles back on the bus. I rather sardonically wish them goodbye. But the bus does not move. It waits, for me.

So I get on. And off we go on a magic tour of the country side for around 5 minutes. However, the driver most likely of italian level skills at driving, takes a corner too short as we speed through a village, through a fence we go and wedged inbetween a wall and a house the bus finds itself intombed. EVeryone now piles out and the horde desends. I despite having only an axe am the 7th to go. And for all I know one or more of the last three made it away.

Pissing myself with laughter I think, 'what in the f**k is this game'?

Now to try the 'afganistan' level.

Highly recomend people try it out.

Picked up empire (for 10 quid on steam why not) and I was certaintly wrong about the A.I. I also apprenlty have quite the knack for 18th centuary naval combat.

However 3/3 games now and I'm not seeing the netherlands last more than 10 turns against france, just having one city to capture makes them far too weak. Plus I can't seem to find any mods that make the map more expansive unlike rome.

the really tiny states are definitely intended for you to play as a challenge.

it's not too bad though, empire. it is shitty that they hampered the mod community. also they have a nasty problem of corrupt saves.

I think of TW more as a multiplayer game. The campaigns are ok I guess, but it really stands out as a set piece battle game.

TW Shogun II is very very good.

shogun is visually appealing, and i think it's their best use of their new campaign map system, but gameplay wise it is very stale.

lines of footsamurai shooting eachother, charge, win, repeat. very predictable.

Its a TW game, people fight in it. What do you want these samurai to do, participate in a gathering of the juggalos?
