You don't understand these people nab. They have no desire to improve, no thirst for victory, no shame in their game. They are literally in survivalist mode, where they are content simply having some power and material advantage over the poorest of the poor.
Honesly though, if you are a mediocre person it's not a bad gig. Some people are just aware of the fact they can't make it here. IMO if you are in such a position it is smarter to just leave and move somewhere where you can play life on easy mode.

I'm 1% for my age group lil breh, and I'm not competing in a 3rd world hellhole, I'm competing against the best humanity has to offer. It's not easy but it makes me a better person and the reward is all that much better when I succeed.
